SignEdge: Dirty Driving

You might have read the story of my first off-roading experience HERE. I came to realize that there is a strong culture among off-roaders and they are fiercely protective of their passion for seeing hard-to-reach places.

Among those who share this hobby/sport there is apparently a subclass of women off-roaders who have a very spunky attitude.

While I was shopping the other day, a large purple Jeep caught my eye. The color was very unusual and it had a number of decals on the rear window. Among those decals was one that said “Super Girl.”

Upon closer inspection, I found the following attitudinal off-roading images:

“Buckle up I Want to Try Something”

“Don’t Follow Me You Won’t Make It”

And my favorite…

“Yours May Go Fast But Mine Can Go Anywhere”

Today’s STATUS QUOte Picture Quote

“In this life we are all just walking up the mountain and we can sing as we climb or we can complain about our sore feet. Whichever we choose, we still gotta do the hike. I decided a long time ago singing made a lot more sense.”

SignEdge: Western Attitude

Living in the N. Phoenix area, we still have many people who love their horses and a fair number who have maintained that “cowboy attitude.” Last week I attended the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show sponsored by the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona.

I had no idea of what to expect. I had never been to a horse show before. For someone not involved with horses, although I do like them, the array of vendors proved almost as fascinating.

Many things stood out as I walked the aisles, but I particularly liked some of the signs and this one seemed to exude that old west cowboy attitude.

“Due to the high cost of ammunition, we will no longer fire a warning shot.”
