Why incompetent people think they’re amazing! – David Dunning
The video below explains how the Dunning-Kruger Effect distorts the ability of some people to accurately assess their skill level in a certain area. As the video explains, one study found that 88% of Americans rated themselves as “above average” drivers. This is mathematically impossible of course.
Watch the video below to understand this effect and how it might alter your abilities to accurately assess your various skill levels.

Seventeen time national champion, Jennifer Lucore, shares her Pickleball Quick Tip that is simple but brilliant! How can you be ready for the ball when you’re waiting at the kitchen line? Watch and listen as this pickleball pro gives all of us some practical advice for being prepared to hit that winning shot! You’ll be amazed what this simple trick can do for your game. It can make you more aware, engaged and focused, and ultimately, it can set you up for hitting the next winner. What is this quick and easy tip? Watch the video to find out!
When you are playing doubles pickleball do you look forward to having the ball hit your way or do you hope the ball doesn’t come in your direction? Jennifer Lucore, national champion, explains why it is important to want the ball.
This doesn’t mean that you should be a ball hawk and go after every ball. What it does mean is that you should be ready for every ball to come your way and with that anticipation, you will be prepared to make your best possible shot. It keeps your head in the point and therefore in the game!
Keeping your paddle up and in the ready position as well as keeping your eye on the ball, will help you be ready when it does come in your direction. Another great hint offered by Sarah Ansboury, is to use your paddle as a pointing device and keep it pointed at the ball when it is on the opponent’s side of the court. In this way, your body has a better chance of being in the ready position to attack the ball if comes in your direction.

I think most people, whether or not they are cat lovers, will laugh at the video below depicting a cat “watching a horror movie.” I don’t know exactly what the cat was looking at, but the pacing, editing and sound effects will bring a chuckle to everyone!
If you are a cat lover, then hands down, you will appreciate this short clip.

Jordan Briones of Prime Time Pickleball demonstrates what he considers a major mistake many people make in their dinking technique. After describing and explaining the issue, he offers tips and a practice exercise to help overcome a habit that may destroy the best approach to successful dinking.
When I watch novices/beginners play pickleball, I see this mistake many times. Another mistake that beginners often make is taking a step backward at the NVZ hoping to “catch a better bounce” of the ball. Learn to take it in the air if you can.
1 – It avoids the ball taking a funny bounce
2 – It keeps you in position
3 – It takes time away from your opponent.

There are many, many videos on the Internet related to almost every aspect of photography ranging from the technical to the artistic and abstract and everything in between. One field of photography in which I have a strong interest is landscape photography and hobbyists can spend days on end watching nothing but videos about landscape photography.
I have seen dozens over the years and I want to highlight the two resources below because I feel they are especially well done and they have worthy ideas that may be new for many.
My TOP 5 best TIPS for composition in Landscape Photography
by Mads Peter Iversen
Mads Peter Iversen offers his most important tips for successful landscape photography. What I liked about this 16:35 video is that Mads not only offers his ideas, but then he demonstrates what he wishes to convey by showing examples. This makes it immensely useful!
Here are his five areas of concentration in the video below:
Focal point
Leading lines
Brightness, contrast and faces
Balance
Elements within the frame and the need for “breathing room”
Simple IDEAS for CREATIVE outdoor photography
by Nigel Danson

While the beginning of this video may seem funny in a Chaplanesque way, the message is anything but humorous. This is part of the “It Can Wait” promotion to encourage people not to text when it can be harmful to themselves or others. This public service announcement was created by the Western Cape Government, South Africa.
It is short, to the point and powerful!
Texting and walking is difficult enough just watch the video!

Camden Whiddon was born without fully formed arms and legs, but he doesn’t let that stop him. He shows remarkable courge and perseverance as he makes his way to the top of a playground slide. Your heart is sure to go out to Camden as you watch this YouTube Video.

*** NOTE *** If you do not know what the third shot drop shot is, watch this video – HERE – before reading further.
**********
Once we transition from beginning pickleball and head more toward the intermediate or above skill level, the third shot drop shot becomes a goal of many players. This can be a wonderful shot if you can execute it reliably. Even then, however, you shouldn’t use it all of the time.
Phyl Dunmeyer and host of Pickleball 411, Rusty Howes, explain why there are at least three situations during which the third shot drop shot might not be the best choice.

This video shows a Golden Retriever mom trying to keep her last puppy hidden and out of site to prevent the pup from being adopted. The interaction is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
This mom, even in her state of anxiety, appears gentle and kind and the love for her baby is obvious!

If anyone has difficulty understanding the concept of Net Neutrality, Burger King has created a short video which delivers a metaphoric explanation of the idea.
Here are the notes from the YouTube Page:
BURGER KING – Published on Jan 24, 2018
The repeal of Net Neutrality is a hot topic in America, but it can be very difficult to understand. That’s why the BURGER KING® brand created WHOPPER® Neutrality, a social experiment that explains the effects of the repeal of Net Neutrality by putting it in terms anyone can understand: A WHOPPER® sandwich.
This effort aims to help people understand how the repeal of Net Neutrality will impact their lives.
The BURGER KING® brand believes the Internet should be like the WHOPPER® sandwich: the same for everyone.
Help keep Net Neutrality safe by signing the petition at Change.org/SavetheNet
