Funny Pictures: Trees Eat!

With all of the intense weather, volcanoes, etc. we really don’t need any more proof about the power of nature. Mother nature does what she does sometimes in spite of the efforts of mankind.

One example of this is the behavior of trees. I have seen examples of this when I have been hiking, but I haven’t seen any as extreme as the one pictured below.

A tree face created by nature’s indomitable will!

I will comfort you (ooo)
I’ll take your part, oh, when darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Baby Polar Bear Cub Dreams – Video

Most of us have had pets when they were young, i.e. puppies and kittens, and even older pets who moved around when they slept. And, many of us, I am sure, wondered:

“What are they thinking or dreaming?”

This cute polar bear cub exhibits those same behaviors. What dreams is this baby having?

From the YouTube Video Website:

“At 5 weeks old, the polar bear cub is doing very well; she weighs a little over 4 pounds and measures 16 inches long! Both eyes have started to open as of yesterday, but they are not fully open yet. The care staff says the sound that she makes in the video is of contentment. Her motor skills are improving each day and she has started trying to stand up on all fours, especially when she’s ready for her next meal! She is on six feedings a day, every four hours. The team has been evaluating her daily needs and provides care 24/7.”

The teacher is a monkey; really!

The Internet has made it possible for a wide audience to see things they never before imagined. With this mass communication media comes a few caveats and one of them is “don’t believe everything you see or read.” Keeping this in mind, however, it does seem like this little monkey is determined to teach humans his best method for crushing leaves. I think you will find this cute, interesting and perhaps a bit poignant as well.

This human learns a new and valuable life skill.”

“A monkey signals a human to hold out his hand so it can provide some dry leaves. Through the fence, the monkey proceeds to help close the human’s hand so he can successfully crush leaves.”
